Good news is news too!
Therefore we will launch the third edition of the Good News Day in the Netherlands on Friday November 6th. Last year 24 media participated. Newspapers, TV, radio and news websites, they all offered much more good news on this one day.
Thus millions of people in the Netherlands were offered not just the regular news, but also a lot of good news. This special event is an initiative of Newspiration.com.

Why a Good News Day? We don't ignore the mainstream news but we think that most media pay too little attention to the many uplifting events that take place everywhere around us every day. A missed opportunity since Dutch surveys show that many people do need other kind of news. On this Good News Day we ask all Dutch media to publish some more good news apart from the mainstream news. Our goal for this special day is a more balanced overall news supply.

What is good news? We think good news is more than just easy 'feel good' news. Good news is serious positive news based on solutions and progress. Click here for examples of good news.

Global Good News Day. Since this Good News Day is such a big success in the Netherlands, we would like to launch the first Global Good News Day in 2010.

In the media
Apart from all participating media, this Good News Day has also generated publicity at the world's largest news agency Reuters. This Reuters news video is broadcasted by BBC Arabic (see below), the Russian NTV en TV-Center, and JTV-1 from Jordan.
